The difference between the implant and the natural tooth

The difference between the implant and the natural tooth

Nowadays, more and more dental implants are accepted by ordinary people. Some people think that the dental implant is very good, can completely replace the natural teeth, and even think that the dental implant is the third teeth of human. It is undeniable that the implant is the best denture after the tooth is missing, and there is almost no feeling after the tooth is comfortable and beautiful. Jue, unlike active teeth, has a great sense of foreign body, and does not like a porcelain bridge to grind a good tooth next to it. However, the performance of dental implants is quite different from that of natural teeth. The following is divided into three aspects.

One.The difference between bone and bone

There is a periodontal membrane between the natural teeth and the alveolar bone. The one end of the main periodontal ligament is embedded in the cementum, one end is embedded in the alveolar bone, and the tooth is fixed in the alveolar nest. The teeth are firmly combined with the alveolar bone by the periodontal ligament. The periodontal membrane is very important to the function of the tooth. It has a sensory function. The periodontal membrane has a rich nerve and a terminal receptor, which is sensitive to pain, pressure and vibration. The periodontal ligament can regulate and buffer the masticatory force and protect the alveolar bone.

The peripheral receptors in periodontal ligament can be sensitive to the soft hardness of food. When the thickness of the food reaches 20um, the periodontal membrane can feel, then what is the concept of 20um, the average thickness of a hair silk is 70UM, and the thickness of the periodontal membrane is 3.5 times thinner than that of a hair. Periodontal membrane receptors are highly sensitive, so that the teeth are well protected. There is no periodontal ligament between implant and alveolar bone, which is directly combined with alveolar bone, just like steel bar and cement. The alveolar bone is hard to implant and has no buffering effect. Of course, there is no sensilla. The feeling of planting teeth is done entirely by the surrounding bones. The 20um thickness of the food, the implant tooth is not felt, the dental implant can feel the minimum thickness of the food to reach 50um, and the natural tooth is 3 times more sensitive than the dental implant. Because there is no periodontal membrane around the implant, the feedback protection mechanism of the implant is not enough. When the masticatory force exceeds the scope of the implant, the implant is not aware of the risk, and the implant is easy to receive a large masticatory force.

Two. The difference between implant and natural tooth.

Because natural teeth have periodontal membranes, the vertical direction of natural teeth can sink 25 to 100um, and dental implants can only sink 3 to 5um. It

There is a great difference between the horizontal and natural teeth: the level of the natural tooth can move 56 - 108um only 10 - 50um, the range of horizontal movement, the natural tooth is 5 times larger than that of the implant. It

The difference between sports mode: natural teeth can move rapidly or gradually, while implants can only move gradually. It

The rotation center of the movement is different: the rotation center of the natural tooth is at the root tip 1/3, while the rotation center of the implant is at the top of the alveolar ridge, the rotation axis of the natural teeth is long, the rotation axis of the implant teeth is short, and the anti rotation ability of the implant teeth is poor. It

Differences in load: masticatory force is evenly distributed along the natural root, while the masticatory force of the implant is concentrated on the top of the alveolar ridge.

The above points can also be seen: the natural teeth are faster, far, and more anti rotating than the dental implants. When the masticatory force exceeds the implant and the natural teeth, the natural teeth have been avoided, but the implant reaction is slow and the trauma will be advanced.

Three. The difference between dental implant and natural tooth anatomical position.

The diameter of the implant is 3.5--5mm, far less than that of the natural tooth. Even if the single tooth is far more robust than the implant, the above tooth is an example: the tooth neck width of the natural tooth is 6 - 7mm, twice the thickness of the implant. If the posterior teeth are compared with the posterior teeth, the diameter of the implant is smaller, the posterior teeth have more than one root, usually have 2-3 roots, some posterior teeth have four root, and the fork opens polygon. It

In theory, the implant should be planted in the place where the root of the tooth is planted. The direction of the implant is in good agreement with the direction of the natural tooth, but it is difficult to do, because the remaining alveolar bone is not absorbed evenly, the alveolar bone in the lip and cheek is easy to absorb, and the alveolar bone in the tongue and the palate is not easy to absorb, and the plant is usually planted in the place where there is a bone. Where there are bones, where the implant will be planted is not exactly the same as the location and direction of the natural teeth. It

Dental implants should also avoid some important anatomical structures. The following jaw nerve pipes, maxillary sinus and so on, also make the direction of implants not consistent with natural teeth. It

These factors make dental implants easy to form. Make the porcelain teeth loose and fall off.
